Calling all motorcycle riders! Join Black Hills State University’s Jacket Ride, a scenic journey through the Northern Black Hills held during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. This annual event raises funds for student veteran scholarships.
The ride features a stunning route through Spearfish Canyon, into Lead, south on 385 to Brownsville, down Nemo Road, and back up Vanocker Canyon, ending at Wareing Motors in Sturgis.
The 2026 Jacket Ride takes place Tuesday, August 11. Reservations are now open, so get your spot now. Sign-in day begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Joy Center on the BHSU campus in Spearfish, with kickstands up at 10:00 a.m. Lunch will be served following the ride.
This year features special ride ambassadors from the Magnolia Network builder Jared “Cappie” Capp and his daughter, Alex, from Building Outside the Lines, as well as Veteran Honorees. Space is limited to 100 bikes—register early to secure your spot.
